I woke up to a beautiful yellow morning
Bird songs of cheer filled the air
"Almost" brightening my inner despair...
Life is precious - must take the good with the bad...
Inner-consciousnee has surfacing inner fears
Combative-defeating,
(And disappointment seems like home...)
Wondering again,"Why am I here?"
Innerself purpose-outerpurpose
Questions asked, answers sublime
Questions others have asked throughout TIME...
The answer came, defeative it be
That our conscience lives throughout eternity
Lessons learned, karmic justice burned...
My inner light soars
Somewhere out there, through MY eternity doors
When the time comes, knowledge will be earned, gained
I will finally be the winner of LIFES game...

Here's what I do:

Find some quiet time
and address God.

I say
"God I am afraid"

but words are not enough

I want to feel my emotions

I offer who I AM to God

"THIS is how I feel God"

and I feel the fear

I mean, really feel it.

Then things get better

because I'm not trying to avoid feeling the fear.

It is as natural a feeling as any other

and in blocking off feelings of fear or sorrow then it builds up behind the dam
and hinders other feelings from getting thru

So I say:

"God I am afraid"

and I communicate not only my words but also my emotion.

I am offering God my honest emotion

Then other emotions come thru

and make me smile

Even tho I am afraid

I feel love

Even when I am afraid I can feel the love God has for me

It is my strength

and the Rock which I cling to

in the sea of uncertainty.

Like the Elders Meditation,

We must try to combine our emotions with our prayers,

and ask God's spirits to help us unearth them

So we awaken the Trinity

of Heart Mind and God.

So often we say a few prayers without bringing our emotions into it

We say a few prayers without waiting for a response

A dependence on the mental to the exclusion of the emotional naturally produces a shallow state of prayer

But by asking God to help us unearth our emotions
then we have opened the two-way street

and the results can be experienced almost immediately as we become overwhelmed by emotions previously guarded against (I did anyway)

So the Path to God lays thru the Heart
and the Path back to us lays thru the Heart

But not to the expense of the mental but as an accompaniment.

As in true friendship the communication of honest emotion is prerequisite

and the forbearance from each side jeopardizes that friendship and indicates a selfish intent

and so I bring my full honest emotion into play while assured that God wont deride them or spurn them, but accept them

and while accepting them I learn to accept them too
And I Feel God's emotion in return

and I know that
come what may
I Am never alone.
