And a morning arises and you will see
He could have never been that which you chose him to be
He couldn't live up to your dreams of him
And your wantings led him to the brim.

He was beautiful in and of himself
And he wanted to stay with you if he could have helped
But it was the freedom in him that he seeked
No committments or I can't speak.

So rest in the knowledge it was not you
Or anything in you that could be lacking
It was in him and he would surely say
I loved you forever and a day.
